I am a Project Manager for Beard Construction and have worked with Nuttall on various projects over the past 9 years. The first project was a unique & challenging project in the Roman Baths Museum, and my current project which is a new Art School for the University of Reading.  

Nuttall has always worked well with Beard & Myself. I believe we work well together as they naturally fall in line with our key values “friendly, efficient & committed”. I would describe Howard as user-friendly, nothing is ever too much bother, and he is always at the end of the phone when required.

H&S is always at the forefront of their minds, so much so that I have recently shared two elements of good practice around our business. Nuttall’s use of access equipment & thread bar cutter which removes the need for hot works & hearing protection.

All of Howard's operatives are likeable, professional, and most importantly deliver a good quality job.

Nuttall’s worked well as part of the wider team, working collaboratively to achieve key milestones on the project to a very high standard. They offered design solutions to issues which were apparent before they became an issue at site level and acted professionally throughout the contract, assisting the Beard team with programming and specialist knowledge regarding sequencing of specialist trades. Nuttall’s approach to H&S was good, taking on board advice or observations for continual improvement. I would happily appoint Nuttall’s as our M&E Contractor on both D&B and traditional projects in the future.

I have used Nuttall several times. I found Howard and his team to be extremely professional and able to plan and manage their element of the works extremely well. They undertook a mechanical and electrical package at the Royal West of England Art Academy on Queens Road, Clifton. Having worked with Howard and his team previously it was pleasing to again work with a contractor who has the knowledge of the works, had studied the drawings identifying issues early in the construction process. Howard was then able to work with myself and the design team to address design issues timely and always seeking the best outcome for myself as the contractor and client helping to build strong relationships.  It was also good to work with a mechanical and electrical contractor with a good supply chain not only in terms of contractors but also consultants and specialists that were able to be brought into the project on the contractor designed proportions. I would have no problem recommending Nuttall for further projects in the future.

Nuttall are an excellent company to work with, very efficient with a high level of workmanship. They are very helpful both on and off site and as Mechanical subcontractors are very professional to deal with. I will have no hesitation working with them on future projects.

We worked with Nuttall on a medium sized student accommodation scheme in central Bristol. The works comprised information for the discharge of planning conditions relating to on site power generation and the production of a Mechanical and Electrical Performance Specification for tender purposes. This was our first project with Nuttall and we were very pleased with their performance. Nuttall were extremely helpful, easy to deal with and delivered both on time and on budget. We will certainly be working with them again in the future.

Good Morning, I just wanted to take this opportunity to champion your team on site over the summer, but particularly recently in what's been a 'testing' couple of weeks. Simon and particularly Ben & Aaron have exhibited an enviable work ethic, from a client point of view high standards, consideration, a sense of humour and above all adopting a common sense approach when working around the school and alongside my school staff. Numerous members of my staff have commented on how helpful both Ben & Aaron have been when asked any question with regards to anything electrical and both have developed a good working relationship with my Caretaker and myself ensuring their work can continue despite the addition of children to the mix.

We used Nuttall as our mechanical design build sub-contractor for our recent office development project at Chippenham and were impressed with their overall contribution to the project; their design approach was well thought through and their works on site were co-ordinated and installed in a very efficient and logical layout; their quality of workmanship was very good and as an added bonus their works were completed on time and within budget; we will certainly be using the services of Howard and his team again in the future.

We have found Nuttall to be a very reliable and trustworthy company who deliver excellent quality advice on the design and a first class installation service. We are certainly planning to continue to work with Howard and his team in the future and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Turnpike House was our first project with Nuttall as our Mechanical Design & Build Contractor, we are very impressed with the professionalism of both their design and technical element and the excellent workmanship of the installation on site. The experience Nuttall bought to the overall design of the project was invaluable and produced a very efficient and quality installation. We employed Nuttall as our services sub-contractor to work on the new Peer 1 Data Centre in Portsmouth. They went above and beyond expectations and we really enjoyed working with a contractor that had a complete understanding of the M&E aspects of the project.
